Wako Danza/ Eduardo Zúñiga
(Santiago de Chile, 1985)
Trained in classical and contemporary dance at the Santiago Ballet School and at the Houston Ballet Academy, where he was awarded the Peter Schaer Award.
He develops his career as a dancer in the United States, Chile and Europe (State Street Ballet, Texas Ballet Theater, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Luna Negra Dance Theater, Chilean National Ballet and Luzerner Tanz Theater of Switzerland) and in Spain with Titoyaya Dansa and in two productions with the Instituto Valenciano de Cultura, being awarded as best male performer in 2022.
As a choreographer, he has created pieces around the world, highlighting works for Bolshoi Ballet, Chilean National Ballet, La Mov and Titoyaya Danza in co-production with IVC, Teatro del Lago , Luna Negra Dance Theater, Save the Children Foundation. He has received awards for his choreographic work in international competitions such as the gold medal at the XIII International Ballet Competition and Contest of Choreographers in Moscow, Russia. Silver medal at the IV Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition in China, In 2017. First Prize at Dance Chance Redux (Chicago) and the prestigious Joyce Award in 2013. In 2020 the critics' award (Chile) for his audiovisual work "Restless" appearing at festivals all over the world.
Eduardo is the director of WAKO DANZA,, a platform where dance, health, media arts and text converge to generate links, a space for creation and conversation.

Formado en danza clásica y contemporánea en la Escuela de Ballet de Santiago y en Houston Ballet Academy, donde recibe el premio Peter Schaer.
Desarrolla su trayectoria como bailarín en Estados Unidos, Chile y Europa (State Street Ballet, Texas Ballet Theater, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Luna Negra Dance Theater, Ballet Nacional Chileno y Luzerner Tanz Theater de Suiza y en España con Titoyaya Dansa y en dos producciones con el Instituto Valenciano de Cultura, siendo galardonado en el 2022 como mejor intérprete masculino.
